| Compliance assessment of development |

Compliance assessment is a new development assessment process introduced under the Sustainable Planning Act 2009. It has been introduced to help reduce red tape and ensure low-risk developments are assessed using a simpler, more efficient process.
From 18 December 2009, compliance assessment is required for certain types of subdivisions in residential and industrial areas and operational works associated with these subdivisions.
