Regional planning committees

Regional planning committees are established, under the Sustainable Planning Act 2009, to advise on the preparation and implementation of regional planning programs in regions across Queensland.

• Central West Queensland Regional Planning Committee (formerly Central West Queensland Regional Coordination Committee)
• Far North Queensland Regional Planning Committee (formerly Far North Queensland Regional Coordination Committee)
• Maranoa-Balonne Regional Planning Committee (formerly Maranoa-Balonne Regional Coordination Committee)
• North West Queensland Regional Planning Committee (formerly North West Queensland Regional Coordination Committee)
• South East Queensland Regional Planning Committee (formerly South East Queensland Regional Coordination Committee)
• South West Queensland Regional Planning Committee (formerly South West Queensland Regional Coordination Committee)

Iconic panels

Iconic assessment panels are established, under Iconic Queensland Places Act 2008 and the Sustainable Planning Act 2009, to act as the assessment manager instead of the local government for development applications in iconic places across Queensland.
