This area focuses on significant, complex and high profile projects and regions with a state development benefit for Queensland by:
- providing a ‘one-stop shop’ for the delivery and facilitation of these significant and complex projects
- leading the department’s planning for key resource regions, such as the Galilee, Surat and Bowen regions
- providing expert infrastructure project advice and support to government
- overseeing state projects implemented by entities such as special purpose vehicles
Industry Support
It also works with Invest Queensland to source property and infrastructure physical asset needs for inbound investment.
The industry go-to person is responsible for acting as a conduit between the construction and property industries and government, to assist in resolving industry-wide issues and encourage development.
