Planning Services
Ensuring the state’s planning policies respond to emerging issues and follow best practice, this area plays a key role in reforming legislative frameworks like the Sustainable Planning Act 2009 and state planning instruments.
In addition to helping councils to prepare planning schemes, this area also provides solutions for complex projects, identifies blockages in the planning system and provides targeted assistance.
Regional Planning
Regional Planning plays a key role in helping Queensland plan for and improve quality of life for all communities. This area is involved in delivering a new generation of statutory regional plans which aim to foster diverse and strong economic growth; plan and prioritise infrastructure; manage environmental impacts; and, where necessary, plan for urban growth and resolve land-use conflicts such as those arising between agriculture and mining.
