What is the department's preferred supplier arrangement? From 1 January 2010, the department will be introducing a preferred supplier arrangement (PSA) for professional and technical contract services. Under this new arrangement, suppliers will be assessed under a set of pre-determined criteria relating to their qualifications and experience as well as their technical, managerial and financial capacities. Suppliers who satisfy the pre-qualification criteria will be included on the department's preferred supplier arrangement. Only suppliers pre-qualified against specific categories listed below will be able to bid on category specific requirements. Suppliers should note that not all professional and technical services will be contracted via the PSA. To enhance reporting functionality the department's preferred supplier arrangement will utilise the framework of the Department of Public Works Prequalification (PQC) system for consultants. What is PQC?The Department of Public Works PQC system, is a single, centralised register for all pre-qualified building industry consultants and contractors. PQC is a mandated system under the whole-of-government Capital Works Management Framework (CWMF) and Maintenance Management Framework (MMF). Use of PQC will streamline tendering processes, increase transparency in supplier selection and reduce the costs for all parties. Who can apply for inclusion on the PSA?All professional and technical service providers in the following categories can apply:
What if I am already registered under the DPW PQC system?Existing PQC members wishing to pre-qualify for DIP categories are required to:
