The provisions of the Building and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2009 (BOLA) which commenced on 1 January 2010 include ‘ban the banners’, sustainability declarations and miscellaneous amendments to the Building Act 1975. A series of community consultation meetings were held across Queensland throughout November - December 2009.
