The women in local government professional development bursary provides an opportunity for motivated and career-minded women in local government to access professional development activities that will improve their knowledge and skills to better support their councils and the community.

The Women in Local Government Strategy Group is providing two professional development bursaries for women in local government. The activities should be relevant to the applicant's position and career goals.

Recipients are required to share their professional development outcomes with colleagues and through relevant networks upon completion. This can include face-to-face presentations, distribution of papers or a written report for the Women in Local Government webpage.
